Chenesai Majaya

Founder & Chief Strategist

I am an alumna of Vega School of Brand Leadership (Cape Town) with six years of extensive work experience in the advertising & marketing industry with a demonstrated history of developing effective business solutions and strategies. I am inclined to understanding and acting on behavioural and psychological patterns that drive decision making in targeted audiences, guided by research and in turn offer online and offline solutions depending on suitability.

You have to start from somewhere right? I worked as a media buying intern, entry-level account manager all the way up to senior level. I have been fortunate enough to work across multiple industries (including banking, FMCG, tobacco, beauty, travel, textile, public-health, and telecommunications) and countries. I like taking on challenges and crashing them through solutions that are backed up by research.

I like to jest and say I did not choose this industry; it chose me. My passion was eminent from the time I registered for my first degree. I remember, a totally different course had been assigned to me (in accordance with my perceived academic strengths) and in order to change it to something advertising related, I had to have ‘good connections’ or just had to wait and re-apply the following year. I was not ready to be one year behind my stream-mates and I also did not have the ‘connections’.   I spent the following days going to my program of choice’ department chairperson’s office asking him to consider my transfer request. After twenty-two days of persistence and consistency, he gave me forms to sign which officialised my transfer to his department ‘because I had bothered him so much’ ! I bring this same fire spirit and tenacity into my clients’ projects.  

I am passionate about the fight against cancer, mental health issues and gender-based violence.

Outside all things serious, my Instagram discover feed is full of cute puppies’ content, I enjoy a good laugh, strong coffee, and indulging in art.
